Harts of Stur are one of the UK's largest retailers of Cookware, Kitchenware and Kitchen Electrics. They were one of the first UK retailers to sell online back in 1995.
As part of an ambitious growth strategy, Harts of Stur decided they needed to migrate from an old Sellerdeck website to the latest Magento 2 Commerce platform.
With 70% of users browsing on mobile and tablet, Harts of Stur understood the importance of mobile-first and an optimised mobile experience. They were in great need of a site that was responsive, and would improve conversion on mobile.
HARTS HAVE LOST THEIR HEAD
GENE, always wanting to push ideas and be trailblazers of the ecommerce world, suggested to Harts to build the site fully Headless using the Deity framework. Harts having a similar mindset to us, not afraid of innovation happily agreed.
Using the extensive Magento 2 API the new site is fully integrated with Access Dimensions providing near real-time price changes to respond to the fast moving market.
This was one of the first Headless Magento 2 Commerce sites and the gamble paid off with the new website delivering an optimal experience on mobile with fantastic performance and speed.
HUGE UPLIFT IN MOBILE CONVERSION
Greatly improved performance, together with the new mobile payment options using GENE’s Apple Pay software for Braintree, saw a huge uplift in mobile conversion, beating all expectations.
