Temple Spa brings Mediterranean luxury to the beauty sector with the launch of a sleek new Magento 2 Enterprise Edition website
BUILDING A SITE WITH BEAUTY AND BRAINS
Temple Spa was born from a love of the Mediterranean lifestyle and landscape by founders Mark and Liz. 16 years later, Temple Spa is now a worldwide brand with critical acclaim. Found on first class flights and 5 star hotels, this spa quality skincare brand has become synonymous with luxury.
The Temple Spa site needed a fresh look and functionality that would grow with the brand. The Temple Spa team needed more control over merchandising on the site and an improved PWS (personal websites) area for Temple Spa Consultants to direct their customers to. Additionally a spa finder was needed to help engaged consumers find Temple Spa Day Retreats.
The new website needed to improve ecommerce performance and user experience across devices and boost conversions without compromising organic rankings or losing existing customer data and sales order history.
A GROUNDBREAKING MAGENTO 2 EE SITE
Gene worked collaboratively with Temple Spa across the project from design and discovery through to migration and ongoing support since site launch. As there was a good amount of organic traffic to the Temple Spa site and an abundance of customer data and sales order history, the first step was to ensure nothing in the migration to Magento 2 Enterprise Edition would disrupt the existing sales and marketing. Custom integration with Sync ERP software transferred valuable customer data, sales order history and promotions into a fully responsive Magento 2 EE website. Along with best practice page redirection and content migration to preserve organic rankings.
PUTTING THE POWER IN TEMPLE SPAS HANDS
BlueFootCMS enabled the Temple Spa team to easily update and merchandise the site with a simple drag and drop format. Additional custom development gave Temple Spa Consultants more power to sell directly to their clients online. Personal Websites (PWS) improved functionality and usability gave Temple Spa Consultants the ability to promote exclusive products, deals and bundles independently of the consumer facing site and direct their customers to the PWS, directly attributing their sales.
THE SEARCH IS OVER
A number of features were developed to aid customers in easily finding the product they want, no matter the situation. The ability to pre-order products was set up to store and tokenize customers payment information until the product arrives in stock and then immediately process and dispatch the order. Further custom development automatically notified customers when out of stock products they were interested in were back in stock.
To enable powerful site searches, Gene integrated Sphinx search to help the customer find the right content from across the website, incorporating key phrase searches and SKUs. This search function was developed to search both ecommerce product data as well as the blog.
